Our story began with a single rescue — a dog named Honey Brown who changed everything. That one connection sparked a lifelong mission: to create a place where dogs could learn, grow, and feel understood. What started as one man’s passion became a trusted Orlando-based training center where science, compassion, and modern methods come together to help families live better with their dogs.

At The Bark Stop™, we believe training should never rely on fear or punishment. Our Force-Free, Fear-Free philosophy ensures that every dog — from puppy to adult — learns through patience, encouragement, and positive experiences. A Timeline of
Love and Tails

Every great story starts with one dog. For Joe Violante, that dog was Honey Brown — a stray who changed his life and inspired a lifelong mission to help dogs and their people live in harmony.

THE BEGINNING OF A BOND

It began on an ordinary day with an extraordinary encounter — a stray dog on the street who Joe later named Honey Brown. Through patience and kindness, Joe learned that trust and communication could do more for a dog than force or fear ever could. That single experience became the spark that ignited two decades of compassion-driven dog training.
